Services Provided by the El Dorado Fire Department

The El Dorado Fire Department provides a wide range of emergency and community services to the citizens of El Dorado and surrounding Union County, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

🚒 Fire Suppression Our crews respond to all types of fires including residential, commercial, and wildland fires. We operate modern apparatus out of 4 stations to ensure rapid response anywhere in the city.

🚑 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Transport Our paramedics and EMTs provide the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medical care. EFD operates fully equipped ALS ambulances staffed by certified professionals on every shift.

☣️ Hazardous Materials Response EFD maintains a Haz-Mat Technical Response team trained to handle chemical spills, gas leaks, and other hazardous material emergencies protecting our community and environment.

🪢 Technical Rope Rescue Our technical rescue team is trained and equipped for high-angle rope rescue, confined space rescue, and other specialized rescue situations.

📚 Community Education We offer free fire safety education programs for schools, businesses, and community groups. Topics include home escape planning, smoke alarm safety, and fire extinguisher use. Contact us to schedule a visit.

🔎 Fire Prevention Our fire prevention division conducts inspections, reviews building plans, and works with businesses and residents to reduce fire risk across El Dorado.

🚑 PriorityCare Ambulance Membership PriorityCare is a joint ambulance membership program between ProMed Ambulance and EFD EMS. Annual memberships provide comprehensive coverage for ALS ambulance transport. Contact us to sign up.
